Compact and spotlessly clean room with pleasant view to the castle. Marvellous location metres from Thomas of Helmsley. Positioned in the fairly nice area.

I did not want to leave, so would recommend this hotel. Everything was excellent, including accommodating staff at the reception desk. I ate at an excellent restaurant with good food. Exceptionally comfortable beds, a coffeemaker and a lounge were a nice touch. The location was great and gorgeous as it was very close to restaurants and eateries. The place was next to the heart of Helmsley.

Rooms are beautifully decorated and well-appointed with the bath in the suite and an iron plus an enormous luxurious bathroom, food is fabulous.

Lovely and amazing location - short walk to the restaurant found great selection on menu, food very well presented and good portions, the centre of the bustling Yorkshire town of Pocklington and a historic market town. Besides, easy to get to A 900 Year-Old Castle.

Absolutely perfect staff, exceptional services with free wake up service and ironing. Fresh food options.

A little rude staff!

The position of the hotel was beautiful, in the adjoining pub around the open fire. We had goodies and coffee at Mannion & Co, it was located an easy walk to the venue.

The hotel was in the central setting on the cobbled areas outside the Black Swan or the adjacent shops.

The breakfast was very tasty and wonderful as expected with proper coffee, continental options, black pudding. Its location was stunning, really close to the bar / restaurant which had a nice ambience, and the Market Square which offers lots of shops and attractions.

The views were not so nice.

I really enjoyed 1 night there. The restaurant was really nice with very polite staff, I tried excellent dishes.

Good quality and lovely little hotel located near the public square, shops and cafes and restaurants and the beach until May. Pleasant overnight experience there.

Wi-Fi was very poor.

It has great and beautiful location, really close to the cobbled areas outside the Black Swan, the outside beer garden, and the local National Park. The employees are all extremely polite.

Truly enjoyed the historic-style building and a nice size and well-equipped room with the bath in the suite.

I really enjoyed this great value hotel, it did not disappoint. By and large, it was decent base for sightseeing in Helmsley, had much fun and met helpful and top-class staff at the reception desk. The room was pet-friendly, top-notch and included a coffee machine, a lounge area, and a hair dryer. The location for Helmsley was lovely, close enough to excellent shops and restaurants as well as the Lake District.

Very attentive staff and a nice hot breakfast with proper coffee and ham, for example.
